Question 1

What is the difference between SK8Lytz HALOZ, RAILZ, and SOULZ?

Accepted Answer

HALOZ is a modular puck under the plate center — easiest app-enabled install, great for beginners who want 100+ ARGB modes. RAILZ uses flexible side-bar strips along the boot and plate edges — dramatic side-glow with no cutting required, rated moderate difficulty. SOULZ is the flagship: a 56-inch full perimeter strip for maximum 360-degree underglow, rated advanced difficulty. All three use the ZENGGE app, RF remote, and are music reactive.

Question 2

Which SK8Lytz has the most light coverage?

Accepted Answer

SOULZ — the 56-inch full perimeter diffused ARGB silicone strip wraps the entire skate plate for complete 360-degree underglow. RAILZ covers the sides and rails of the boot and plate. HALOZ and GLOWZ are center pucks — bright central halo but less overall coverage. CLIPZ covers heels only.

Question 3

Do all SK8Lytz products work with the ZENGGE Bluetooth app?

Accepted Answer

HALOZ, RAILZ, CUSTOMZ, and SOULZ all work with the free ZENGGE app (iOS and Android) for 100+ ARGB modes, music-reactive control, and scheduling — plus include an RF 2.4GHz remote as backup. GLOWZ uses a physical IR remote only — no app required. CLIPZ has an on-unit button — no remote or app.

Question 4

What is the easiest SK8Lytz to install?

Accepted Answer

CLIPZ is the easiest — clips onto your heel in seconds, no tools required. For rechargeable options, GLOWZ and HALOZ are both rated easy difficulty using a simple under-plate elastic strap. RAILZ is rated moderate (no cutting required). SOULZ and CUSTOMZ are rated advanced for the most involved installs.

Question 5

What is the difference between GLOWZ and HALOZ?

Accepted Answer

Both mount as a puck under the plate using the same elastic strap and are rated easy difficulty. The key difference: GLOWZ offers 16 fixed solid colors with an IR remote (no app, no music reactive). HALOZ has 100+ ARGB dynamic modes, Bluetooth app control via ZENGGE, an RF 2.4GHz remote, and full music-reactive animation. HALOZ is the step up for app control and animated effects.

Question 6

Do I need to permanently modify my skates to install SK8Lytz?

Accepted Answer

No — all SK8Lytz products use non-permanent mounting. CLIPZ clips on in seconds. GLOWZ and HALOZ use an under-plate elastic strap. RAILZ uses a side-mount elastic with no cutting. SOULZ uses an elastic strap plus 27 custom clips that do not require drilling. No adhesive, no drilling, no permanent modifications.

Question 7

Which SK8Lytz has the longest battery life?

Accepted Answer

CLIPZ uses a CR2032 button cell lasting 12+ hours. GLOWZ runs 3 to 6 hours per USB-C charge. HALOZ, RAILZ, CUSTOMZ, and SOULZ run 2 to 6 hours depending on brightness and mode. All USB-C models recharge in approximately 1 to 2 hours.

Question 8

Which SK8Lytz is best for beginners or as a gift?

Accepted Answer

CLIPZ is the easiest gift — no charging, clips on in seconds, starting from $12. GLOWZ is the best beginner rechargeable with an IR remote and 16 solid colors. HALOZ is best for someone who wants app control and music-reactive ARGB effects without a complex install. All three are rated easy installation difficulty.
